Standing Out When Your Business is Commoditized

As a company matures, a variety of market forces conspire to undermine the elegance and power of their initial offering. The dominating question becomes, “how can I get more customers?”

In this presentation for CEOs, Terry Slattery’s approach is to ask the reverse question, “Why aren’t my customers buying more?” As you design and lead a sales process that aligns with your customer’s view of value and need, Terry will help you identify and remove your obstacles to getting more sales.

At this workshop you will learn:

  1. How the customer considers time, effort and money in their purchasing decision and how to take advantage of it.
  2. How to change the game by designing a sales process that does not follow industry norms.
  3. How to play offense and defense when facing pricing pressure.
  4. The 5 questions and the 3 answers that will force your offering to be viewed for its true value.
  5. How to apply the 80/20 rule to sales management.

Leadership Through Motivation Alignment

You already know that leadership is inspiring people to give their best efforts and become fully engaged in accomplishing organizational goals. Leaders naturally struggle to connect company goals to what individuals want for themselves. People perform best when they’re motivated by their own values, goals and desires. Learn a new way of thinking about leadership that helps you empower your followers to achieve more of their potential while meeting your team’s performance goals. It begins with becoming a better manager of yourself so that you can be a better manager of others.

You need Clarity – the ability to get everyone on the same page with where you are going and how you plan to get there. And you need Simplicity – the ability to execute consistently well by following a handful of rules. That is the Entrepreneurial Operating System (ESO): a simple way of operating a company that will help you clarify, simplify and achieve your Vision.
